If I’ll be about to give up, I would stop it once and don’t do it for a while. If it is very important and necessary thing for me, I think I would start to do it again. So, it’s not ‘give up’. It’s just ‘stop’. And I wait the time when I start it again.

If I am about to give up (on something), I would stop it at once and not do it for a while. If it is very important and something that is necessary for me, I think I would start to do it again. So, it’s not ‘giving up,’ it’s just ‘taking a break.’ And I'll wait for some time to pass, then I'll start it again. Take a break/ taking a break : means to stop doing something for a while or have a rest, then start again.
