'In such a way' example: He speaks English in such a way that even beginners can understand him. (so maybe he's speaking slowly, but more importantly, he's speaking like that intentionally. 'so that' also implies that a person is doing something interntionally).
There's very little difference between "in such a way" and "so that", so I would say yes, you can use them interchangeably. Just don't use them together in the same sentence.
