Does money motivates people more than any other factor in the workplace?

I quit a high paying job with good colleagues and interesting work because I didn't like my boss and the shambolic way the company was run.
The next job I had wasn't as well paid, the working hours were much longer, and the company was a little shambolic, but it had good colleagues, interesting work, my boss liked me and it involved overseas travel.
There is a minimum amount of money that I will work for, but its not my primary motivator.

If you are satisfied with the job and see it as your vocation, I think the answer is NO.However,if you just earn money by this work, the answer is YES.
