医生看他疼得要命就马上帮他做检查,看了看舌,把了把脉,就开出处方让他去拍片子并抽血化验 Hi to everyone! Is this sentence correct (gramatically speaking)?

Although "拍片子并抽血化验" belongs to the western medicine, but I think this sentence does make sense. Because there is another mode of medcine called integretive medicine, which means combining traditional Chinese medicine with Western medicine.Even in most hospitals of traditional Chinese medicine, doctors can prescribe both herbs and western medicine, and also the test sheets like blood drawing, CT, MRI and so on. And this mode is really common in hospitals of TCM.

So, I think this sentence should be corrected like this:

医生看他疼的要命就马上帮他做检查,看了看舌,把了把脉,就开了检查让他去拍片子并抽血化验。

In the case of grammer, there is no problem of this sentece. But it's not that logical.

In China, there are two ways to examine a patient:

1. The Traditional Chineses Medicine way: "看舌头、把脉", and then the doctor will make a conclusion and "开处方"。“开处方” usually means giving the final treatment.

2. The modern way: "拍片子并抽血化验", and then the doctor will make a conclusion and give the final treatment according to the result of examination.
