There were a couple of girls who told me they wouldn't unless I was the last man on earth.  

I would look them up.

I generally like people so I am assuming that 99.99% would include many people I cared about.  I think I would be grieving pretty intensely for the lost relationships,  trying to find out who had not disappeared, and trying to understand what the f.... had happened. I also think all the institutions and services would collapse and be chaos for some time.  I would expect some anarchy. 

Were you guys who said it would make you happy really serious?  Or just assuming all your loved ones would be in the .01%?
