I have a question, there is a scientific trip to France and I would like to participate. so for that, I had to write my C.V.
now the pages of this is 3. but when I searched the sites, they said it's better to be in a page. I tried to do that but it's impossible because I participated in 15 congresses and educational workshops and I wrote 12 scientific articles that I have to write the name of them on my CV.
so in your opinion what do I have to do? there is no problem that a CV be 3 pages?
Hello. I live in Canada but I presume it is similar in France when it comes to resumes.
I used to teach students how to do resumes. I corrected them and made sure they were appropriate for the job they were looking for.
ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT A RESUME'S PURPOSE IS TO CATCH AN EMPLOYER'S ATTENTION FROM ALL THE OTHER POTENTIAL CANDIDATES. A RESUME'S PURPOSE IS FOR THE EMPLOYER TO CALL YOU AND SET AN APPOINTMENT. THAT IS IT.
WHEN THE INTERVIEW IS SET UP, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO IMPRESS THEM
IMAGINE AN EMPLOYER HAVING TO HIRE SOMEONE AND HAVING 50 RESUMES TO LOOK AT. THEY WILL SPEND 10 SECONDS MAX LOOKING AT IT. ALWAYS TRY TO MATCH WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR WITH WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED IN THE PAST.
I BELIEVE THAT TWO PAGES ARE SUFFICIENT,. MAKE THE RESUME EASY TO READ. HAVE THE LAYOUT DONE PROFESSIONALLY IF YOU CAN.

En tant que chef d'entreprise ayant eu des quantités de CV sous les yeux, je vous mets au-dessus de la pile. Si j'additionne votre texte profil et le texte ci-dessus, soit moins d'une page, c'est largement suffisant. Les définitions des 15 congrès et des 12 articles doivent être fournis dans une annexe.
Bien sûr il faut réécrire tout cela en un seul texte plus adapté au voyage que vous voulez faire ; et bien sûr, en dernier ressort, le faire corriger par un natif.

single page resume is best resume
Ashkan, you can limit your "main" CV to one page, with one paragraph mentioning name, address, age, etc ; one paragraph about the schools you have attended, diplomas, etc ; one paragraph about languages, especially the efforts you've made as far as French is concerned, and one last paragraph mentioning that you have attended congresses and written papers.
The list of which will go to page 2 and 3.
