Why do we say "search ON GOOGLE" but we say "...to use find IN Google Chrome"?
I came across this doubt when I didn't remember which preposition to use when we're talking about search ON Google. So...I looked it up on ... Google and one of the results was "...use find [built-in tool] in Google Chrome". My question is...is there any rule I'm missing here or it's just one of thoses cases you just have to accept and move on?

The word "Google" is irrelevant. "On a (web) page / website", "in an application / program".

Prepositions work in mysterious ways...
You're right , maybe it's just a case of accepting it and moving on.
I can't see a rule here personally.

IMHO,
Google is a kinda information space.
So we search ON Google not in it.
