Hand-kissing has a very long tradition as a sign of respect: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand-kissing. Poland is famous for its hand-kissing culture which was seen as very polite and gallant. Times are changing now, so the younger generation might rather shake hands but definitely hand-kissing is traditionally a sign of respect.

Hy! I'm from Spain, here both men and women kiss to women on both cheeks. Unlike a meeting between men, they greet each other with a hug or shake hands, it depends on the confidence that they have.

In Germany, we shake hands on initial contact first. If you like one another you can then hug and kiss women on their cheeks and you can also hug men. In my personal opinion, it is important to hug each other ever now and then. This reduces stress and promotes commitment to one another. Makes a lot of things easier and leads to hormone release in your brain.
