Why doesn't Esperanto become popular? Esperanto is an artificial language intended for international use. Why do you not learn it ?

Esperanto is interesting and several lf my family members speak it, so I'm not against learning it but English is the international language at the moment, so Esperanto isn't really necessary and I learn languages not because I need them for communication but because I'm interested in learning more about different cultures, traditions and literature. I find it much more interesting to explore the abundance of natural languages that developed over a long time than constructed languages with a short history.

I'm not interested in artificial languages. A culture's history, mentality, and traditions reflect in its language; that's what makes this language interesting for me.

You could try to persuade some big-name pop stars and rappers to compose and sing songs in Esperanto. I think it would become a lot more popular then.

I am not learning Esperanto because it is not popular. I only learn popular languages.

Each language has a culture behind it and developed after hundreds of years. Esperanto is a new language and people who speak it are scarce. Besides, there is no proper culture behind it. Therefore, it is not really popular.
