what makes this lack of support even more Impactful is that we don't exactly have a quiver full of therapeutic arrows to deploy when our hearts is broken. Can anyone paraphrase it?

When our hearts are broken, we don't have enough remedies, so the lack of support is felt even deeper.
Or.
When our hearts are broken, we (feel the) hurt even more when we don't have enough remedies.
Or.
This lack of support is felt more deeply/grieves us more, when we don't have enough resources/remedies to cure a broken heart.

This lack of support was made worse, because we don't have more remedies to use when our hearts are broken/ when we need it.
