What software do you use for making online teaching videos?
Some teachers or other users here also have Youtube Channels. If you're making online teaching videos where you for instance show your screen or a PowerPoint presentation, what software do you use? I'm a university teacher and it seems that this semester I have to teach online at the beginning of the semester. I can't always give live classes (because I have to homeschool my kids at the same time), so I'd like to prepare videos of me explaining something and uploading them to Moodle for my students. Therefore I'm looking for good but inexpensive video recording and editing software.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the tips! I'm mainly looking for something to pre-record a class that my students can watch later. I'm experimenting now with Prezi and Camtasia.

Miriam, I am a Hindi teacher and I also have a YouTube channel on which I keep uploading videos, as far as I know you can share your screen while teaching online, in which Skype, Zoom etc and many more. All such software with the help of which you can share your screen with your students, but if you want to make videos, then there are many apps that can help you in this work. I have shot from my mobile and with the help of that app took my video there and edit all the necessary text there.you tell me whether it will be right for you. Thank you.

Once I had to record my screen and I used OBS Studio, it worked fine and it's free. For video editing there's Openshot (which I've never tried by the way).
