I've found that the teaching of stoicism can help greatly to deal with intense emotions... so does shooting empty coffee cans with a pump action 12 gauges.

I have really odd idiosyncratic mannerism: if someone gets on my nerves, I walk up to this person and pinch him once (yap, personal boundaries are violated, I know)
all in all, I am rarely mad at people. Anger frequently appears in me if gadget or other technology don’t work properly :D

so I don’t truly wanna suppress this emotion. for me it is okay to be angry (as well as be sad, be happy and be scared)

Thanks for your opinion!

@Mariam
Wow, you are good at handling your emotions.
I often hide what I really fell behind keeping a poker face as well !
and then, I got very tired...

@Mikhail
Honestly, I don't know about aikido (and martial arts) well, I'm Japanese though. haha :)
I always think that avoiding anger is the best way as you said, but it's hard to do like that...

I have something to say. It's not about handling, but avoiding anger. If you find that someone causes you trouble than redirect trouble back to its source. You better do this as soon as possible, because you have a fresh situation and details are right here. This way you avoid mental stress almost completely. There are few exceptions, like your kids causing you trouble, but I believe you take them easily, because you know you caused troubles to your parents in your childhood :)

Upd.: You're from Japan, Tims, so I guess you know what aikido is :) The principle is the same.

You are right about yoga. But I am only a yoga student.
