how many languages do you speak?
I'm always wondering myself how many languages people speaks, i don't know why, i think it's just curiosity or maybe because i live in a country where the population just speak their native language (spanish), i haven't had the chance to know people which knows or speaks a diferent language besides spanish, so let me know your language knowledge.

I speak Japanese and Russian. I studied both academically.

I speak english and danish fluently, and i know a little japanese and french. I also understand swedish and norwegian. And if i concentrate i can read a little faroese XD

Well I think nowdays almost everybody know English
And if you were iranian you would know 4 languages for sure! Farsi, Arabic, English and your own local language (for example Azari). Because Iran has 31 states and people of each state has their own native language
Iranians study Arabic because of their religion (Islam) and English at school

German (Frängisch ;D) - Mother tongue
English, Spanish, French and a bit of Mandarin - at school
Icelandic, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Finnish and some others - by personal interest
Always keen on learning languages ;P

Chinese is my mother tongue,I speak also English and German,as well as a little Latin.Lerning English is almost an obligation for the students in China.But I find myself quite enjoy lerning foreign languages.Lerning German is because I want to study in Germany.As to Latin,I think it is quite useful, because a lot of technical terms as well as original literatures are in Latin.
