I read that most Japanese don't actually say "have a good weekend". It's kind of like how most English speakers don't say things like "please treat me kindly" (ie, yoroshiku onegaishimasu).

 

Most of the time it is more natural to greet colleagues with "まったね” or "ゆっくりやすんでね” at the end of Friday work day.

 

Anyone care to educate me on this culture?
