Bonjour,
If Bon jour means good day, that also means it is similar to English greeting to say Good day to you at first time to meet each other.
If you don't mind, I would like to know Good morning, Good afternoon and Good night in French as well or to know little about French grammar in one sentence, which will be very grateful to thee.
