but, you know about pulque?
the pulque is a drinks from maguey, is created by fermentation of "agua miel" , this is the water in the heart of the maguey, Mr. "tlachiquero" pulls this, to then turn it into pulque.
In the early years from Mexico only the elites (aztecs) could drink it.
During the Porfiriato, it became in poor's drink.
Now in days is not as popular as tequila, is not to everyone's taste, but I love it!!
you can drink pulque "blanco" or natural
but exist a lot of flavor of pulque, it named "pulque curado" and there are all the flavor you could imagine: tomato, celery, oats, nettles, strawberries with cream, chocolate, eggnog ...
so if you some day come to MExico you should try it.
