Are you Cryptocurrency skeptic? There are two things it changed the society. 1. Concept of decentralization of money 2. Technologies that’s been introduced: Blockchain 3. Privacy / human rights 1. Concept of decentralization of money The concept of crypto currency has been changed the mindset of people, by the introduction of Bitcoin in particular. It broke into tedium of centralization and questioned us what exactly is "money”. Cryto currency made is "This is how it works " to question, people to process money without intermediary, without knowing who are those receiving and sending side. Until Bitcoin, currency’s performance has always been decided and controlled its own value by government. Most of us, are just waiting until the money decision maker provides ultimate price of currency. It provided that regular people like us, a concept of having currency without someone higher up deciding everything. An individuality are taking in charge that what we think about wealth has a significant impact. 2. The technologies of block chain This technology is revolutionary and has potential to change structure of society. People used to think bank can be owned by bank, a single source. instead of carrying bitcoin wallet digitally anywhere with us. All of financial systems revolves around the bank that we have an account, and governance. This change is not just financial industry, but also all many industries. The Technology is providing a power for the creators rather than the powerful forces that captures them. I don't believe a disruptive way but more potential for providing a value. Take an example for a Music industry, from the perspective of musicians. Most of profits were taken by agency. When a new type of music markets are introduced to artists where they can post some art work provided by smart contract. They can truely focus on the value of their work. Artists are investigated a whole new paradigm, where artists gets compensated on their value completely instead of following on agency or big label's order. 3. Privacy and human rights We have a freedom of speech online, but every single activity has been traceable in comparison, back in a day to keep privacy was easy, just to "close the door". But recently, every activity can be traceable, conversations, messages, social media posts, location, search history or even things we haven't said or typed. We will lose Power for us, because of institution or government will decide everything and Human Rights
