I want to learn the Basque language because i plan and going there soon.

In the Basque country the vast majority of people speak spanish too, unless you want to learn Basque because you like this language .... could you communicate in Spanish. This does not mean you don not learn Basque, it a very beautiful lenguaje. I´m sure you will like The Basque Country much.
