Was spoken in English from some people, However I was not able to respond.

Some people spoke English to me, but I was unable to respond.

I have been studying English because I want to be able to speak with a lot of people. Thank you.

That's really good! Remember though that there is less omitted in English (such as  I, you, etc.), especially depending on the circumstance.

Hello. Nice to meet you (if you want, you could add "all" to the end of this sentence to imply that you're talking to everyone. If you're in southern United States, we tend to say "y'all" sometimes to address more than one person, just a note, giving you another way to say it. So you could say it this way: "Nice to meet you all." Or if you're in the south, especially Georgia, you might meet some people who would say it this way: "Nice to meet y'all!". You could also say it like this: "Nice to meet you all." or the way you said it is fine too: "Nice to meet you."). My name is Takahiro. I am Japanese. Your English seems very good! Some Americans have very thick regional accents which can make understanding them difficult. Try listening to YouTube videos of different American accents, like Southern, Texan, Brooklyn, Midwestern, etc. You may be surprised at how different things sound!
