Colin Hoo
Introducing myself I'm Colin from Malaysia. I am what the chinese people refer to me, as a banana ... which is yellow outside (stating that I am chinese) and white inside (stating that i can only commute in English). I am probably one of the few chinese people who cannot speak a word of mandarin or Cantonese in my country. Not to be confused, Most Chinese Malaysians are capable of speaking all three languages... Cantonese, Bahasa Melayu, and English. Moreover, most chinese are also equipped with their "clan" language or a dialect. My only mastery is English and second to that is the Bahasa Melayu. I was educated in Australia for 6 years. I finished my high school and did my university level over there. I am working now with a 3D animation company that uses Motion Capture equipment to "record" animations from human actors. Languages i am trying to improve are Mandarin OR Cantonese. I've taken a short course for French before, but only know very basic sentencing. I even tried to read the french novel "Little Prince" with much pain. I picked up a few words here and there from Korea, Japanese, and German but do not have a basic foundation with either of them. Hope to speak anyone of you soon. Take care, and God bless

Well...nice to meet you. I speak Mandarin Chinese. I'm now a junior student in English major, but my English is not good. It seems that you are talented in language, since you know so many languages! You are sure to learn mandarin soon. You said that you are Chinese, but do you mind telling me where is your hometown? I'm from Hubei Province. Hope to be friends with you and improve our language levels.
