On punctuality

Nowadays, being late for class is a common phenomenon in the university. Tardiness really makes both teachers and students worry a lot.

The problem of tardiness can cause great harm. First of all, tardiness leads to showing no respect to the teachers. In addition, being late for class shows that the students are irresponsible, e.g, if they're late, they may miss important knowledge that teachers have referred to in the first one or two minutes of the class. Last, but not least, if you're late for school, you may affect other students, i.e., when other students studying attentively, your late arrival may interrupt them.

We need to take effective actions to eliminate tardiness. For the teachers, they must punish the students who can't be punctual. The punishment should be severe enough to warn the students. For the students, they should improve their self-control. They should urge themselves to have class on time. With the combination of teachers' and students' effort, tardiness can be eliminated.
