I was on the beach when my mobile phone rang. It was my best friend Polly who wanted (wants) to meet me. So, I told her she could meet (to achieve) me on the beach. 30 minutes later she arrived and lay (laid) next to me on the sand. She looked very sad and suddenly started to cry, (she starts crying and then she) explaining (explained me that) she had had an argument with Tom, her (his) boyfriend. So, I supported her and then we went to a nearby bar to take a cappuccino. While we were drinking our cappuccinos my phone rang again. It was Tom who was calling to suggest a reconciliation (for a suggestion for reconciling) with Polly. I suggested he (him to) come to the bar near the beach and make his apologies (apologises) to Polly. When he arrived I left him alone with Polly. Then I returned (came) to the beach to finally relax once more (have relax) and get a tan (getting tan) but, first of all, I turned off my mobile!

Haha..... nicely written. So, as well as relaxing, you had to time to be a good samaritan to your friend.
