5/28/2014 最近まだ勉強した日本語を復習している 今日の「授業」から質問がある 「ーっぽい」、「-らしい」、「みたい」、「-げ」は全部 "-like" っていう意味だろう しかし、違いがあるの? 例えば、教科書の例は:    逃げたのは(A.黒っぽい B.黒みたいな)車でした Bは正しいだけど、なぜAは正しくないの?絶対ニュアンスがあるよね

I think that '~ぽい’=’-ish' for example: 子供っぽい=Childish, 黄色っぽい=yellowish, 女っぽい=womanish, 'らしい’ = ' looks(sounds) like/ it is said that'/suitable as/ for example: それは彼女らしい。 It sounds like her. 彼女は、先生になったらしい。 It si said that she became a teacher. 学生らしい服装。 The clouths which are suitable as a student.

正しいのはAですよ。Bじゃない。 逃げたのは黒っぽい車でした。→黒か白のどちらかといえば黒です。黒じゃなくてグレーや紺かもしれませんが、たぶん黒だと思います。 黒みたいな色。→本当は黒じゃありませんが、黒に似た色です。

I saw the same question on italki before, here is the link: http://www.italki.com/question/133036 I would choose 黒っぽい in this case though I'm not a professional teacher. 黒みたいな車 doesn't sound good to me, but if the sentence says 黒みたいな色の車, it sounds natural to me.
