- Hiragana - Konnichiwa, I am learning Hiragana. I photographed kana which I wrote. So can someone check is that correct please? I will be very grateful. It is important for me because I am learning Japanese alone without any teacher who would check my writing. And I have one question. Is important that my kana be beautiful or it just should be correct? Please look my kana characters and tell me what do you think about it. Every advice or suggestion are welcome.

Hi, very well done! Here above is a practicing sheet. In Japanese writing, you can see at which point you put weight on and where to let go, instead of continuously drawing the line. This is like yoga, you learn to breathe in and out or relax while you apply tension. ln your writing l miss this so l hope you can see the difference between the prints and your present writing. I wish you all the best!

Your writing is so good! Same as other languages, beautiful hand writing makes your impression better but I don't think it's not really important at this point. I have learned calligraphy and the way minime-san showed is good to practice alone.

Your writing is very good I think :) Perhaps you can print out some sheets of model writing and write along them. http://www.jakka.jp/page/hiragana/50on-sougou.htm As for your question, we tend to care about people's handwriting if it's beautifully written or not. But recently, the chance that other people look at your handwriting is getting less and less since we use computers and smartphones. Obviously some people are good at writing letters beautifully, and others aren't. I think the important thing when it comes to writing is to write carefully, not like scribbling down :) 頑張ってください＾＾
