Phrasal Verbs (Would you mind take a look at these sentences, please?)
I did the following sentences:
Ask out:
Pedir salir a alguien. He asked me out at the tube station entrance.
Back up:
Dar marcha atras con un vehículo: I crashed into the car parked behind of us when I was backing up.
Corroborar, respaldar: I can't back up your opinion because I disagree.
Back out:
Decidir no hacer algo: I bought a ticket for travelling to travel to London but in the end I backed out.
Break into:
Interrumpir: He is very unimpolite because he broke into our conversation.
Bring up:
Sacar un tema de conversacion. Please, don't bring up this subject again.
Brush up:
Refrescar. I am a little rusty so I need to brush up on the vocabulary.
Calm down.
Calmar: The children are very nervous, could you please calm them out down?
Carry out:
Llevar a cabo: I carried out the reporting of R&D projects
Catch up:
Ponerse al día: I couldn't attend the class, so I need to catch up
Carry on:
Continuar: We have to carry on with the hiking route.
Fall down:
Caerse: I fell down because the floor was slippery.
Derrumbar: Has the building fallen down?
Get along with
Llevarse bien: I get along with him very well because we are quite similar
Get by:
Salir del paso: I didn't understand a single word but I got by.
