Little things. Big moments.
One day last summer, I got up early because my wife had to work. The day was cloudy and rainy, therefore we decided to go to have breakfast in a bar near our favourite beach before she started her work day.
The bar is over BY the shore and, through the window, we could see that N THAT day AT the beach there was NO ONE, it was desertED. I remember we HAD some toast with marmalade and butter, two big coffeeS and SOME FRESHl orange juice.
After that, she set off in her car while I decided to walk ON THE beach for a moment. There was a very small tide and I had almost two kilometres of sandY BEACH TO MYSELF. Suddenly, the clouds opened UP and the sun started to shine in the sky and over THE waves like a mirror. I could feel the warmTH and wind in my face. I don’t know if anyONE could HAVE FELT the same emotion when in the sand(,) only TO see my OWN footprint and to hear the sound of THE sea’s waves.
It was a similar feeling TO when your warm shoes first walk and print on the snow and you turn to see only your OWN trackS.
I was so near but also So far FROM the city that I WOKE up AT THAT moment, TO the traffic jam, a lot of people and the heavy noise.
When I FINISHED the walk ON the beach(,) I turned around AND saw that the people WERE starting to arrive, but for one hour the beach was only mine. So, that day maybe was THE highlight OF MY summer when I was alone(,) gratefully WASTING my time.
