Sometimes we need to see from another person's perspective.
Things that seem too good to me may not be good for others. I recently read a short story on the internet. I was really amazed after reading it. It was a story about two boys, who were arguing over a random topic. Their teacher saw them doing this. She called to both of them and asked them to sit down at a near table. She placed a stone at the middle of the table. She asked them, "what color is this stone?" One boy answered, "It's white," and other said "it's black." Both of them looked at one another and thought, "I'm right. He is foolish."
Then the teacher told them to change their position. When the boys changed, to their opposite positions, they were shocked. The boy who said, "this is a black stone," now said that it was white. The boy who said, "this is a white stone," now said that it was black. Their teacher said, "sometimes you need to think from the other person's perspective." The things that you like, others may not like. Try to understand other's perspectives, instead of arguing with them. Arguments always aim to decide who is right, whereas a discussion always aims to determine what is right.
(acha naurki!) ;)
