The Angel Who Once Lived Here

Utopia is heaven on earth, where everyone is satisfied and living day by day in peace,

You are born surrounded by a happy society, not worrying where to sleep or what to eat,

In the real world there was an innocent child who drowned and was found dead on the beach,

Lying there as if he was sleeping and dreaming of tomorrow to come in his red shirt and blue jeans,

He just wanted to play somewhere safe, same as the kids of Halabja and Alholeh and live for another Eid,

He probably thought it's a game of hide and seek until he stopped kicking and couldn't breathe,

Everything started to be gloomy and his soul was gone, but his small body is no longer a terrified refugee,

I'm hunted by him and how he looked to me; as if he finally reached exactly where he wanted to be,

Born during a war and fled to a haven, we all seem as though as if we are in a big prison, now yet his soul is finally free,

He had a name for he was never a number and he should be remembered as the angel who once lived here...

To the souls of Aylan and Galip Al-Kurdi, may you both rest in peace.

My friends Ocean and Leyla, I understand your feelings. This little angel is one from thousands who died the same way.
