Why did I decide to learn English? A venezuelan voice.
Well, I want to take advantage of this to report to those who want to know, about the situation in my country. You, north-americans, asians, europeans, you complain so much, but you don't know what you have.
You have opportunity.
More than 100 venezuelans are killed ONLY in the Capital, Caracas, everyday. I must hide everything valuable when I go out from my home, I can't even take my phone out of my pocket in the street. And yes, I can't go out at night anymore, because it will end in, likely, an assault. A murder. You probably end the day without your phone, without your car, (or your car's tires), without your life.
You surely think that I'm exaggerating, but I invite you to watch the news. Now, the insecurity is the flag of my destroyed Venezuela. I miss her, and the worst part is that I couldn't even know her when she was one of the most wealthy countries in the world...
And that's why I decided to change my way and to learn English. In this moment I can't leave my country, because I can't afford it due to the value of the dollar price here; but when the university strike ends, and when I finally get graduated, with pain in my heart I will have to say goodbye to my place. Because I want a future, quality of life, I want an opportunity like yours.
Thanks for reading and I wait for your corrections :).
Pray for Venezuela.
