I abhor to go dancing, let me tell you a little history about my life when i was a kid. I remember when i was in high school, my mother I fought me, because i didn´t want to go dancing in my school´s partty.
When i started to college education I abhored to speak in front of my classmates and professor.

*I (yo) is always capitalized.
I would tend to say "hated" or "really hated" in a general conversation. However, if you're looking for synonyms, these verbs are roughly interchangeable:
-Most people living in big cities dislike visting places where there are insects.
-I loathe dancing.
-I detested speaking in front of my classmates and my professor.

Hi Vicente
"To abhor," is one of my favourite verbs in the English language.
But we use the +ing gerund form after using this verb. So, based on your examples above:
1) They abhor visiting places where there are insects.
2) I abhor dancing..........................
(let me tell you, Vicente, the second sentence is true of myself, too, because I have zero ability when it comes to dancing!)
