My daily English

Every day, I remind myself to write some (or: a few) sentences in English, read some articles, and practice my  listening skills by watching almost at least one Ted Talk but, at the end of the day, I haven't done any of these activities. It is hard to start a new routine. Has anyone any good advice for me? How I can stick with my good intentions?

Note: Has anyone any good advice for me? will not work in every dialect of English. In American English, we say Does anyone have any good advice for me?

Hi Penny, I have three kids and I passed Toefl test, at my first time, with a 84 score. Still my English speaking is hard for me. I try to do my best every day but probably sometimes I am too severe with myself. So keep going. here in a English class at an high school I read this sentence: "Make an effort not an excuse": this is my personal mantra.

Me too, have the same situation as you. I want to pass the TOEFL and my English bachelor degree, as a working mother I don't do anythind in a routine way, perhaps I need to wait for my kids get older and immerse myself to the English class, I prefer the way of face to face. I have a specific goal just relalted the time length. Due to the info of your location, If I am working at the US, I'll join exchange language Meetup and find a teacher who can support the class at least 1~2 hours per week. Thank you.

Maybe you can just do something about English , or around English ,if you are busy . but must spend some time in it , can be half an hour at less or one hour a day, just keep it easy and begin with some reading and listening as you said watch a TDE .
