trouble with my earphones I spent plenty of time in the postoffice waiting for my new earphones recently. The other day I put my earphones in my briefcase and when I was trying to get them out again, the phones were blocked (bind?) behind a book or something in the briefcase. I grabbed the cable but unfortunately I pulled to hard and when I finally managed to get them out, I was aware that one of the phones didn't work anymore. I ordered new ones on the internet, payed and got information by e-mail that they already had been shipped. I waited a couple of days but no courier showed up. A few days later I asked the seller if there was a problem. He denied but sent me the shipping number, though. I went to the post office the next morning, but I found it closed due to an employers meeting. One day later I tried again in the morning but there was a cue of 30 people waiting to pick up their packages. I didn't feel like waiting and returned in the afternoon by bike. When I reached the postoffice there was still a cue as long as it was before. Apart from that I realized that I had forgotten to take along my bike lock. Since it was too dangerous to leave the bike unlocked in front of the building, I returned home to pick up the lock. When I came back 15 minutes later the cue was even longer and I waited for an hour or so. There was a women with a baby behind me and when I reached the counter I asked her to pass me by. A few minutes longer didn't matter any more. When I finally got my package, the women behind the desk told me friendly that there was a second one available to pick up. I remembered that my son had ordered an office chair. With a smile I agreed to take it with me and I left the office with the earphones in one hand and the large and heavy package in the other, struggling the way to my bike outside the building. I lifted the heavy package onto the bike and made it through my way home while people were watching me pityingly, because it was really hard to keep balance with the large shapeless package on my bike. If people will order more and more things on the internet, the cues will become even longer in the future.
