Did you check a dictionary?  My dictionary shows it is a regular verb:  drown+ed

It should be "drowned", yes. Where did you find "drownded" ???

I agree with Joseph: "drownded" sounds wrong to my American ear. We would always used "drowned" in the passive voice.

Occasionally, older books or movies used incorrect words to mark a character as illiterate or poorly educated.  (Back in the days when a student might leave school at age 10 or 12 to work on the family farm.)

Drownded isn’t used at all in the US. It might be an old form of English. But if you were to use that in a high school or college paper it wouldn’t be acceptable. It should be “drowned”.
