Men tend to look for solutions. And it is that (or "And the reason is that") a man feels useful when he can solve something. For him, it is the way to show her that he is there to help her.

In the United States, we would say "Advice for women: _____" and "Advice for men: ___________." In the U.S., the noun "counsel" is a quite formal word...I see it used more when someone is getting professional advice from a lawyer, therapist, doctor, etc.. But I think perhaps in England they might use "counsel" in some situation where Americans will use "advice." So I offer this as a comment and not a correction.
The word "because" was causing the sentence to be an incomplete sentence -- that is why I erased the word "because." If you start the sentence with "because", the sentence will need to have another clause...in a pattern like, "Because _____ ____ _____ , (then) ____ ____ _____" . Another option would be to start the sentence with the word "first": "First there are some things..."
Lastly, I think the advice you offer is very good advice. It can often take people years to understand this basic difference that causes so many couple's conversations to end with both people feeling frustrated.
