In "The true story of Ah Q", Lu Xun pointed out that "spiritual victories"is one characteristic of Chinese people's thinking. However, when people read the story, they don't think they are the same type with "Ah Q" , only others are like that. In fact, this is exactly "spiritual victories".

Lu Xun's work is just perfect. he exposed a shortcoming of Chinese people and made every reader accept it, none feels offensive. That is why he is great.

I have to agree with Pat. If I don't know who Lu Xun is. I will be just as puzzled. When you write something, make sure to clarify things for those who does not know Chinese culture well. If I talk about Hero (pronounced as Hayro) & Leander or Thisbe and Pyramus, you won't understand without further clarification.
