The words are often used with the same meaning in English. Strength is used for force with people or animals and force is the energy expended or used by a person or thing.

A person is strong. A horse is stronger. This machine, that pump is strong, etc. It has power; it has capacity (to work, to do things). Force is when that power or that strength is applied/directed to something. The wind forced open the door. The force of the water washed away the town, etc.
