Hi! This means the person saying this loves you literally as a friend-- without any romantic or sexual attraction.

Hi there. The person stating this, is saying that they value your relationship on a platonic level. This means without any romantic feelings or feelings of attraction.

That the person isn't interested in courtship (an actual relationship that leads to marriage) Or a simpler answer: they don't want to be intimate with you. It's what we call being put in the "Friendzone".

So, in our culture, if you tell someone you love him or her, either it entails or gives the idea that you either see that person as family, or that you are romantically attracted to him or her. However, if you do not want to convey that meaning or to make that person think that's what you mean, you can say this (I love you as a friend). Also, it's a gentle way to reject somebody if they like you but you're not interested. LOL Please let me know if you have any other questions!
