The formal way of 'how are you ?' in French is :
"Comment allez-vous?"
Informally you could say:
" Comment ça va ? "
Literally :How is it going?
" Ça va ?" Is it going?
" Ça va bien ?"
Also possible:
" Quoi de neuf ? "
