"Electric" is usually used to describe something that uses or produces electricity.
Electric light, guitar, drill, current, charge, plug, socket, switch, chair, shock.
We use "electrical" with more general nouns that are connected with electricity.
Electrical equipment, appliances, power, energy, wiring, signal, engineer.
However, in some cases two variants are possible: an electric/electrical company, an electric/electrical current, an electric/electrical shock.
