Can someone tell me the difference between these two Korean words? What is the difference here: 했었어요 and 했어요 I know it's (doing something in the past), but what is the difference between them?

"했었어요" is more like "used to..." while "했어요" can be used to indicate the simple past or the present perfect tense. "-었었" form is also used to recall the memories of the past, and sometimes used to emphasize what happened or what you did in the past. \^o^/
