A poem (and a song) is made of several verses. A verse is a subdivision of a poem. This poem has 9 verses and each verse has 4 lines: http://www.homeoint.org/morrell/poems/index.htm#The Cap and Bells A rhyme is a word which sounds the same as another (cat is a rhyme for fat). A rhyme is also a short poem whose lines end in rhymes. These are often for children, or they are designed to help us learn or remember something.
