Pregunta: "¿Lava me?" o "¿Me lava?" Today I saw a handwritten "Lava me" on a dusty rear car window. My first thought was "Ha! Wash me! -- ¡endiendo!" ;-) Now I have a question: Shouldn't it be "Me lava"? Because, in Spanish, pronouns are usually placed before the conjugated verbs.

Lávame. Yes, Charles, in Spanish, pronouns are USUALLY placed before the conjugated verbs. But, in imperative, ALWAYS are placed behind de verb. "Cuéntame, mírame, escúchame, enséñame......."

"Lávame" would be "wash me". "Me lava", although it looks similar, has a very different meaning: "she/he washes me". Saludos!
