Predicament - locative noun, references a negative situation e.g. The broken cooker left us in a terrible predicament when trying to make food. Disaster - descriptive of another object, e.g. The meal was a disaster. Misfortune - acts as an 'mood' object, to befall an unfortunate event. bad luck. e.g. I had the misfortune of having to ask my crazy neighbour for help.
