People may have altered their privacy settings as well. Contact your friends and ask to be their language partner. then you will be able to contact them.

Sometimes they may be online but have their chat feature turned off. Sometimes even with the chat on the messages are delayed. Use the message function instead of the chat function and your message should be delivered. Welcome back!
