愛（あい）は、「神の愛」「親から子への愛」というように、「無償」のものです。 恋（こい）は、恋人同士の間にあっていつか冷めるもの。 誰かを好きになった最初は「恋心」。 結婚するときに感じている深い情（気持ち）は「愛情」。 漢字の成り立ちから「恋は下心（下に心があるから）」、愛は上心ともいいます。

愛　is love and it is feeling. It is very deep word. 恋　isn't feeling. It shows situation such a man fall in love the girl. Example 夫を愛している。I love my husband. 彼女は彼に恋をしている。She fall in love with him. Ｔhen 愛 can use in a couple or between boyfriend and girlfriend but, 恋 can't. This is because 恋 means to become loving someone and it don't use between couple. So ”夫に恋をする。 ” is strange Japanese. It's very difficult question I think.
