I expect sb/sth to do vs sb/sth expect to do The company expects to complete work in May. I expect the company to complete work in May. Are both of them grammatical and have the same meaning?Sorry. I should say Are both of them grammatical and do they have the same meaning?

Both of them are grammatically correct, but they do not mean the same thing. The company expects to be complete work in May, but you may not expect them to be done by then. Likewise, if you expect the company to complete the work in May, the company itself may know something you don't and will actually NOT expect to have the work finished then.
