Is this sentence correct: "The best is yet to come"

It is technically correct, but it uses old-fashioned grammar. In this adage, that construction is commonly used. However, If you were waiting for the bus, you wouldn't say "The bus is yet to come." You could say "The bus has yet to come," but that would still sound a bit old fashioned. Most people would say "The bus hasn't come yet," in unmarked contexts.
