Difference between batatinha and potato
I know the Portuguese word for potato is batatinha. However I was watching a youtube video of a little boy speaking in Portuguese(I'm pretty sure he was in Brasil) and he and his mother used the word 'potato e arroz' to describe potatoes and rice instead of 'batatinhas e arroz'. Is there a particular reason for this? Or is the word batatinha only used in certain regions?
