What's the difference between two grammar forms, e.g. "bilirim"/"biliyorum", "isterim"/"istiyorum"?

bilirim and isterim are Simple Present Tense (geniş zaman )in turkish
for example
I want that apple = ben isterim o elmayı
biliyorum - istiyorum are Present Continuous Tense (şimdiki zaman)
I am wanting that apple Ben istiyorum o elmayı

You can simply identify the tenses with the suffixes that are added to the verb.
'Bil-(i)yorum' -yor usually defines the present continuous tense. (Why did I say 'usually'? In some cases -yor can be used as simple present tense as well.)
We can say that '-yor' in Turkish is the '-ing' form.
