I'd say the difference between бритый and побритый is that: both of them describe completed action but бритый человек means simply “a shaved man” and побритый человек means that shaved man was shaved by someone else. In the бритый человек we don't know for sure who shaved him – somebody or himself. Also I'd say that побрить describes more ultimate action. I'm about: меня будут брить means that something could be left after shoving but меня побреют sounds like there won't be a hair :) Addition, prefix по can be a sign of future tense: я брею — I'm shaving я побрею — I will shave But in the same time it can be a sign of perfect :) меня брили — I was being shaved меня побрили — I've been shaved Generally prefix по can mean a wish to dabble with something, to try to do something: я хочу попробовать — I want to try. Я хочу пробовать sounds weird. я хочу рисовать — I want to draw (kind of I want drawing as an main action of my life). But я хочу ПОрисовать means that I want to draw a little right now as a time killer. я хочу спать — I'm tired I want to sleep. Я хочу поспать — I'd like to take a nap. Kind of that. But don't be afraid if you confuse prefixes it's not a harm for a native. You are still understandable. I'd say correct prefixes is a higher 5% or Russian knowledge.
